Setting up of a Windows Operating system on a System with No Operating system
Preparation:
1. USB Flash: 4GB (minimum recommended)
Warning: The process described below will delete any data currently on your flash drive.
Make sure to back up your flash drive's data to another storage location before proceeding.
2. USB keyboard
3. Elo touch computer
4. Software required: Rufus application. You may get the software at the following link: https://rufus.ie/
5. Windows OS image (OS_for_clean.iso)
Create a bootable flash drive for installing Windows
1. Insert the USB flash drive and launch Rufus. It will detect the drive almost immediately.
2. Set up by following steps below
(b) Select partition scheme and target system type: GPT UEFI
(c) Select file system: NTFS
(d) Click “Quick format”
(e) Click “Create a bootable disk” then select ISO image,” click the button to open a side window and save the output OS image (OS_for_clean.iso)
(f) Do Not click “Create extended label and icon files
3. Click the Start button to begin the process. You'll be prompted with a warning that all data will be destroyed. Click OK to proceed with the creation process
4. Depending on the ISO image size, this process may take several minutes to complete.
5. When that completes, you may close Rufus.
